

Desta Anthony is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Geriatric care, Dementia care, and complex medical management for frail elders. She completed her Master of Science degree at Upstate Medical University. She is nationally credentialed in Adult Health with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and with the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse. She holds a designation from the Center to Advance Palliative Care and a certification from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. She has created the PACC program for palliative care in assisted living facilities, focusing on dementia end-of-life care. She is active in research as the Clinical Lab Director and Sub-investigator for dementia research trials with ICHOR Research. She maintains active membership with the American Academy of Housecall Medicine and the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York.

Christopher Norman, MSN, APRN, APHN-BC, GNP-BC is a Board-Certified Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and Holistic Nurse. In practice since 2004 – first working as a Nurse’s Aide, then Registered Nurse, then Nurse Practitioner – Chris has been working with older adults. He holds degrees from SUNY Geneseo (BA), Dominican College of Blauvelt (BSN), Yale University (MSN), and New York University (Post-Master’s Certificate in Geriatrics) and is currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing through Binghamton University. His nursing professional interests are in aging well, wound care, holistic therapies, the living experience of the older adult, and helping people better understand dementia. Chris has presented in more than 50 public health engagements throughout Central NY, nationally, and internationally to help educate people on aging and dismantling ageism. A father, husband, avid reader, and jogger, Chris is also a certified yoga instructor and enjoys Yoga and Reiki for self-care and spiritual development.
